What does AFGE Local 910 do for its Members?
The union works with members to get them a fair schedule. Each employee is entitled to fair and equal working conditions. We have educated employees about telework assignments.
We help members write self-evaluations and help with promotional steps.We also help with many mediations. Employees mediate with their supervisors, and also with fellow coworker when they are having work issues.
When a KCVA worker has a question about their leave and earning statement, a steward can sit down and go over the LES with the member to work on: shift premiums, over time, annual leave, sick leave and comp time issues.
We have stewards that will work with members on workman's comp, FMLA and Reasonable accommodation paperwork.
